Our success story

The SHEEPWORLD AG was founded in 1997 by Stefanie Rölz and Tobias Hiltl in Ammerthal in bavaria. With the distribution of postcards around the black and white cartoon sheep’s success story began. Over time, the SHEEPWORLD AG has developed into a real think tank and provides an entire brand world high quality and innovative gift ideas. Currently the company offers the brands sheepworld, my beautytree, Wortheld, GRUSS & CO, H:)PPYlife and Black Chili.

The SHEEPWORLD AG is a value-oriented and despite international success a company that is attached to home. Our corporate values form the basis for daily coexistence. They give us direction and indicate the direction in which we intend to develop further.

1997: Foundation of Steff Products by Stefanie Rölz and Tobias Hiltl

1997: Distribution of the first “sheepcards” (postcards)

2011: Renaming to sheepworld AG

2004: Start of the successful series “Everything is stupid without you.”

2005: Relocation of the company headquarters from Amberg to Ursensollen

2008: For the first time, the company employs more than 50 people

2008: Extension of the company building: The office space is expanded to 2,000 m²

2013: Introduction of the emotional brands: my beautytree, Wortheld and GRUSS & CO

2014: Introduction of the new logo for SHEEPWORLD

AG 2016: Introduction of the emotional brand H:)PPYlife

April 2016: Opening of the first flagship store in downtown Nuremberg

July 2016: Introduction of the emotion brand Black Chili

August 2016: Opening of the second store at Nuremberg Airport

Our responsibility – ecological management at sheep hill

geothermal heating

After completion of the building extension in 2008, almost 2000 m² of office space is now heated with this technology. And – in summer – chilled. This has a great effect: in summer, the heat is fed into probe fields and work can be carried out at pleasant temperatures.

solar power

In addition to the self-generation of heating energy, the electricity is also self-generated. Since mid-August 2008 there has been a solar system on the roof of the SHEEPWORLD headquarters: 113 photovoltaic modules have been installed. The maximum power that can be generated by the system is 23.31 kWp.

wind turbine

SHEEPWORLD AG has been supporting the local project for regenerative energy in Ursensollen since 2014 and has acquired shares in a wind turbine. This generates around 750,000 kWh per year. For comparison: The average consumption of the company is around 200,000 kWh per year.

Climate-friendly shipping

We also make a sustainable contribution to climate protection when shipping via our e-shop by shipping with DHL GoGreen! In 2015 alone, we were able to offset 9.19 t of CO².

ROOTED IN THE Oberpfalz

Founded in 1997 in Ammerthal by Stefanie Kraemer (born Rölz) and Tobias Hiltl, SHEEPWORLD AG is still based in Ursensollen in the Oberpfalz. Only 10 minutes away from Amberg and directly on the A 6 motorway, there is a very good connection to the east (Nuremberg) and to the west (Regensburg/Prague). Despite the good transport connections, the company headquarters are in the 3,500 soul village of Ursensollen in the middle of the countryside and thus offer ideal working conditions for the round about 60 employees at the site.
